John Daly isn’t in the field of 95 golfers competing for a green jacket this weekend, but you can still find him at Augusta National at his usual spot in Hooters on Washington Road. Daly, who hasn’t played at Augusta since 2006, has an annual tradition of meeting with fans and selling merchandise.
Daly spoke with Ewan Murray of The Guardian, and said that he still feels good about his golf game — Daly can still boom drives miles off the tee. The two-time major champion missed time recovering from elbow surgery last year, but has made two of five cuts on the PGA Tour this season.
In his autobiography which released in 2006, Daly wrote that he drank 514 gallons of Diet Coke per year. He’s knocked that down to 10-12 cans a day.
